GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL - WEST HOLTS STAGE
A bIT OF BACKGROUND
Formerly known as The Jazz World Stage, West Holts is the third largest stage at Glastonbury after the Pyramid Stage, The Other Stage and more than 90 other stages and music venues on site. The stage name was changed in 2010 to accommodate the shift from hosting jazz and world music acts to a more diverse line up that also showcases acts from an eclectic range of genres including electronic, hip hop, disco, rock, pop and everything in between.
Hey! What? was brought on to produce the branding in 2011 with the task of helping the stage mature visually and to ensure the look and feel mirrored it's new diverse line up.
We produce design collateral for the West Holts stage including a yearly brand refresh, on-stage animations, posters, t-shirts, social assets, security lanyards, wristbands and backstage bar flyers.
With The Jacksons headlining on the Saturday in 2017 we were asked to develop a modern-day look and feel that reflected the glitz and glamour of the disco heyday.
"Hey! What? provide inspired design solutions and will anticipate your needs before you do. They are an above and beyond resource and a pleasure to work with."
STEVE SYMONS, WEST HOLTS STAGE PROGRAMMER, GLASTONBURY FESTIVALS LTD
We'd love to tell you that our designs for Glastonbury have sold more tickets, brought more punters to the stage and encouraged higher spend at the surrounding bars than ever before but we'd be lying.
However the feedback from the amazing team and volunteers who manage the stage is 100% positive and we are already lined up to carry on this relationship for the 2019 festival and beyond. To be honest we're just proud to play our small part in one of the world's most respected, largest and longest running festivals.
