A bIT OF BACKGROUND
Redfest is a volunteer run music and arts festival held in one of Bristol's most picturesque urban locations St George Park as well as RedFest Fringe events in many of the surrounding pubs, restaurants, cafes and community run venues. Their vision is to nurture and develop the creativity and talent of performers, artists, venues and organisers in the local area.
Now in it's 10th year the festival attracts around 20,000 people and is seen as one of Bristol's premier free festivals.
For it's 10th birthday it was decided to take the RedFest brand and 'take it up a notch' in a way which saw it become on-par with many of the major festivals across the South West. The festival has grown up and the visual language that represented it needed to echo this.
Hey! What? was appointed with the task of producing all manner of design collateral including posters, teaser animation, t-shirts, social content and a 20 page programme. This year also saw the launch of RedFest After Dark with a host of Bristol promoters working together to provide late night entertainment to help disperse the large crowd after the event finished.
"Hey! What? reinvigorated the Redfest brand for our return to St George Park in 2018, creating a unique end to end look encompassing everything from our website to merchandise, posters, flyers and the event programme. We could recommend them in a heart beat."
DOMINIK LJUBIC, DIRECTOR, REDFEST
With an invigorated design and grown-up aesthetic, RedFest 2018 caught the eye of a wider Bristol audience whilst respecting it's grass-roots beginnings. The team behind RedFest recognised the value that Hey! What? brought through our persistence on creating and maintaining a strong and consistent brand through all visual output.
