Hey! What? is looking for a middleweight designer with strong motion skills and ambition to progress to join our growing studio in Bristol.
This is a hands-on, creatively ambitious role for someone with solid agency experience who’s as comfortable crafting bold brand systems as they are bringing them to life through motion.
The Role
You’ll work across a wide range of projects, supporting the senior creative team and playing an active role in shaping ideas from concept through to execution. Around 70% of the role is design-led, with 30% focused on motion and animation – bringing brands to life across digital, social and campaign touchpoints.
You’ll be involved in branding, design, advertising and content creation for clients across hospitality, food and drink, music, festivals, venues and larger corporate brands.
What We’re Looking For

3–5 years’ agency experience (this is essential)

Strong graphic design fundamentals, including typography, layout, and visual design sensibilities, with a meticulous eye for detail.

Proficiency across:

InDesign
-
Illustrator
-
Photoshop
-

Confident motion and animation skills using:
-
After Effects (essential)
-
Premiere Pro (a bonus)

Experience using Figma a bonus but not essential.

With increased client requirements for assets in Canva, knowledge of this platform is also beneficial but not essential

Experience supporting creative concepting and campaign ideas.

Able to bring brand identities to life through motion, translating brand strategy into animated outcomes.

Keen to develop design and motion skills, with an interest in learning new tools, techniques, and software as part of ongoing professional growth.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, confident in presenting work and engaging constructively with feedback and direction.
The Team & Studio
You’ll report into the Creative Director and Lead Designer, working closely with the wider studio and accounts team. We also share our space with Duchess Media, collaborating regularly across campaigns, launches and events.
The studio is lively, social and full of big personalities, but you’ll need to be able to focus, manage your own time and take responsibility for your work.
