WAPPING WHARF

Website, Photography

A VIBRANT WEBSITE FOR AN EVEN MORE VIBRANT INDEPENDENT COMMUNITY

Wapping Wharf opened on Bristol's city centre harbourside in 2016 and combines a mix of different retailers alongside residential homes and their newly opened Cargo Work office space.

Alongside the 45 retailers, Wapping Wharf is called home by a community of independent retailers, including bars, restaurants, shops, delis and lifestyle businesses. The ethos has always been to give small businesses a place to grow and thrive, and Wapping Wharf has stayed true to this since day one.

Alongside structural and performance issues, Wapping Wharf's website needed a facelift that put retailers and communication at the forefront of the customer journey. Introducing a zesty and vibrant aesthetic meant the site would be more truly representational of that community itself.

FUNCTIONAL.

COLOURFUL.

FRIENDLY.

WHAT WE DID

Working alongside our sister agency Duchess Media, we completely reimagined Wapping Wharf's website UX from the ground up. After assessing their previous website's analytics we were able to halve the amount of pages and provide a much simpler, more streamlined and friendly user experience than before.

This was not a brand refresh so we needed to make sure the design still felt familiar and on brand for Wapping Wharf's audience however we felt the vibrant brand colour palette was being under utilised.

EASY TO EDIT

One of the key considerations in building this website was to ensure new content and structure edits were easily implemented by the client and Duchess Media via a super simple CMS and the creation of a drag and drop asset and module library.

Working with the team at Hey! What? for the delivery of our website, design, advertising and marketing collateral for Wake The Tiger has been a thing of joy. Their commitment to providing first-class creative that conveys the intrigue and narrative of our venue alongside exceptional planning, management and delivery is evident in everything they have produced for us. Long may it continue!
